A nice place to sit

Last night we arrived in Da Lat after a long but comfortable 9 hour bus trip from Saigon. Da Lat is in a region called the Central Highlands and is 1,500m above sea level. This means that it's significantly cooler than anywhere else we've been so far in Asia which is a nice change. Daytime temperatures are around 30° dropping down to around 15° at night. It's the first place we've been where aircon is not essential!

This morning we explored the centre of town and found lots of nice art. It feels very European in places with a lot of French style architecture as a result of its colonial past.

This afternoon we rode an alpine coaster to a waterfall which was fun. It was spoiled slightly by being stuck behind a very slow person but we still had some speedy sections. The forest feels very temperate and much different to the jungle we've been seeing previously.
